Bring your audio files to Whisper Memos

Have you ever recorded a voice note in another app and wished you could get it transcribed and summarized?

Now you can. Whisper Memos can import audio files from anywhere on your phone and process them just like your regular recordings, with the same transcription, summaries, and everything else you’re used to once the file is imported.

There are several ways to import audio:

• Copy and paste - copy an audio file in another app, then open Whisper Memos.
• Share extension - tap the share button in any app and select Whisper Memos.
• Open with - long-press an audio file in Files and choose “Open with Whisper Memos”.
• File picker - tap the + button on the memos screen and select a file from your device.

We support most common audio formats, including M4A, MP3, WAV, AAC, FLAC, and OGG, so there’s a good chance the files you already have will work right away.

If you used Whisper Memos in the past but canceled your subscription, this update might be a good reason to take another look. Open the app and you may see a special offer waiting for you.

No pressure, of course. But if you’ve been thinking about getting back into voice notes, importing existing audio files makes it much easier to pick things up again without changing how you already work.
